Summer Camps

• Camps are led by EC faculty and coaches and other community experts, and build upon school curriculum or encourage exploration and thinking in a completely new subject or activity. 
   
• You do not need to attend Eastside Catholic to attend our summer camps. All are welcome!
   
• Campers can attend a morning and afternoon camp on the same day with the option to remain on campus for a supervised lunch period between camps. Campers must bring their own, nut-free lunch each day.

Summer Camp participants are expected to comply with all program policies, including behavior that is respectful to instructors and other students, or the student is subject to dismissal from the camp without a refund.

Behavior Expectations

1. Be respectful of instructor and student helpers – follow directions and listen to instruction.
2. Ask your instructor before leaving the classroom or group (for restroom or water breaks).
3. Be kind and courteous of other campers—make a friend!
4. Respect other’s space – keep hands to yourself and share materials/supplies.
5. Be safe and have fun!

Consequences

Campers who do not follow camp expectations will be given 1 warning from the instructor. Failure to follow expectations after a warning is given or if behavior is deemed unsafe by the instructor or school staff member, the following consequences may apply:

1. Removal from class to Main Office/Principals office, parent called
2. Removal from camp, parent called to pick-up camper
3. No refund will be issued if a camper is removed due to behavior.
4. Camper may or may not be invited back to EC for remaining camp days, depending on the nature of the incident.

Refunds will only be given for cancellations before June 1. After June 1, refunds are given only if Eastside Catholic cancels a camp.

Refunds are not given when the camp is held but a student does not participate in the camp for any reason.

Changing from one camp to another, as long as space is available, is permitted without a fee before June 1. After June 1, if you want to change camps, a $25 fee per change will be charged.

Extended Care
As part of their registration, families have the option to pay $20 for 30 minutes of extended care: until 12:30 p.m. for morning camps and until 4:30 p.m. for afternoon camps. Please note: All students must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. Campus closes at 4:30 p.m.

Late Pickup Fees
Families more than 5 minutes late for pickup (12:05 p.m. for morning camps, 4:05 p.m. for afternoon camps) who did not request extended care beforehand will be charged $25. Please note: All students must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. Campus closes at 4:30 p.m.

If you are going to be late, please call the Front Office at 425-295-3000 to inform them of your expected arrival time, or to inform them that someone else will pick up your camper. Please contact Summer Program Registrar Liz Anderson with questions.

If you register a camper for a morning and afternoon session during the same week, they are eligible for free, on campus supervised lunch. Please add the Supervised Lunch option to your cart as part of your registration if you would like your camper to stay on campus between their morning and afternoon session. Please note: Food is not included as part of supervised lunch.

Middle school and high school students can be dropped off and picked up in the lower roundabout by the flag poles. Campers in grades K-5 should be dropped off and picked up in the Main Lobby. Please note: We will require a parent/guardian or approved emergency contact to sign in and sign out a K-5 camper each day.

If you are dropping off or picking up campers, please use the lower roundabout by the flag poles. Please use either of the lower parking lots if you need to park and walk up to campus. Do not leave your car unattended in the lower loop. This area is for active pick-up and drop-off only.

The upper driveway loop is reserved for emergency vehicles, reserved visitors and ADA parking. You must make prior arrangements to ensure parking and drop-off are available in the reserved spaces past the bridge.

If a camper must leave camp early, please notify the instructor and Summer Program Coordinator Liz Anderson beforehand and during check-in on the early dismissal day.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for international students who would like to participate in Eastside Catholic summer camps.  The minimum score for the TOEFL exam is 80 for students in high school. Middle school students must have a minimum score of four on the TOEFL Junior. This requirement ensures our international camp participants have a meaningful and engaging experience in our summer camps.
