The following information outlines important dates for seniors. We want all seniors and their families to enjoy these special events, so please check back here for the latest updates and information.

Class of 2025: Important Dates and Deadlines
August 20 |
College Application 12 - 3 p.m. Student Services Offices |
Seniors are encouraged to get a jump start on their college applications before school starts. EC College Counselors will host a College Application Drop-In for application support on Tuesday, August 20, noon - 3 p.m., in Student Services for the Class of 2025. Seniors must bring a charged laptop for this working session. Chargers will not be available. No sign-up is necessary! Questions? August - October | Meet With Your College Counselor |
All seniors are requested to meet with their college counselor to discuss their list, ensure all deadlines are accurate in Scoir, confirm teacher recommendations, review application essays and discuss any other application questions. Seniors can schedule a meeting with their college counselor via Calendly and/or attend Tutorial. |
September - November |
College Visits at EC Student Services |
College representatives will be visiting EC during the fall. Visits will be during both high school lunches near Student Services. A visit list will be posted on Scoir under "Upcoming Events," and a weekly lineup on the board outside Student Services. Don’t miss out on these opportunities to learn more about potential colleges! |

Seniors and their parents are highly encouraged to attend this informative session about how EC supports seniors with college applications. Topics covered will include Tutorial offerings, deadlines for Early Action/Early Decision, recommendations, transcripts, supplemental essays and utilizing Scoir. Senior Sunrise 6 a.m. Charlie Acosta Field |

Senior Pilgrimage |
Seniors embark on a day-long, 15-mile hike from Snoqualmie Falls to Carnation. Students lead the hike, which is interspersed with prayer, discussion, activities and games. Senior Event Bob's Corn and Pumpkin Farm 6 - 10 p.m. |
We're thrilled to host the upcoming Senior Class event on Saturday, September 28, at Bob's Corn and Pumpkin Farm in Snohomish! S'mores kits, Chick-fil-A and a night around the fire are on tap. A bus will pick up all seniors at EC at 6 p.m. and return at 10 p.m. Until September 27, you can purchase tickets online or at lunch for $30! October 4 | DEADLINE: College Counselor Meeting for Students Applying Early Action or Early Decision |
This deadline is for seniors applying to any of their schools by an early action/early decision deadline. Counselors and teachers need time to write their student recommendations and prioritize these based on due dates. |
October 4 | DEADLINE: Recommendation Letters for Early Action/Early Decision |
This is the last day to request teacher letters of recommendation for Early Action/Early Decision deadlines. Students must ask teachers in person and then complete the process by filling out the "Teacher Letter of Recommendation Survey" on Scoir. The survey MUST be completed in its entirety so that college counselors can submit the request to teachers on Scoir. |
October 4 | DEADLINE: Confirmation of "Applying" list of colleges for Early Action and Early Decision |
Deadline to confirm the list of colleges seniors are applying to if they are applying for an Early Action/Early Decision deadline. All colleges must be listed in Scoir with the appropriate deadline. |
October 9 | School Day SAT |
Seniors who registered for the School Day SAT will complete the exam on this day. Seniors are only required to attend school on October 9 if they have registered to take the SAT. Students taking the SAT may leave at the conclusion of the test. College counselors will be available to seniors all day by appointment. |
October 17 |
Cap and Gown Presentation Mentor Period Chapel |
This is a required event for seniors. A local National Achiever representative will be on campus to meet with seniors to explain how to place an order for graduation caps and gowns. All seniors are required to have a cap, gown, tassel and sash for graduation and Baccalaureate Mass. Families can also purchase optional graduation announcements and other Class of 2025 items through National Achiever. |
November 1 | Application Reminder | Most seniors have at least one application with a November 1 deadline. Please budget your time and plan accordingly. |
November 15 | UW Applications DUE | University of Washington applications are due. |
November 19 | Cap and Gown Order Forms DUE | A National Achiever representative will be on campus during lunches to meet with seniors to collect order forms and answer questions. Seniors who have placed an online order are also encouraged to stop by. |
December 2 | University of California/Cal State Applications DUE |

December 13 | Senior Ads for Yearbook DUE |
Senior ads are optional and not guaranteed. They will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Ads can be purchased in either 1/4, 1/2 or full-page page options. Until December 13, full-page ads are $400, 1/2-page ads are $200 and 1/4-page ads are $100. Ad prices increase after December 13. Senior ads are sold and created on the Herff Jones website. Senior shout-outs are the messages that students leave below their senior picture in their designated yearbook section. Students should consider their favorite quote, memory or future plans to include in their shout-out. Seniors should submit their shout-out through this form by December 13 and can only be accessed by students. Please note: If a student's shout-out is not submitted by the deadline, one of the generic shout-outs below will be used.

Senior Pictures for Yearbook DUE

All seniors must submit their senior pictures to the yearbook. This image replaces the standard ID photo students take with Lifetouch at the beginning of the school year. Senior photos can be submitted on the platform eShare with school code GoCru. Please note: If a student's image is not submitted by the deadline, the standard school ID photo may be used.

December 13 | Yearbook Orders with Nameplates DUE |
Yearbooks for the 2024-25 school year can be ordered from the Herff Jones website using the school code 6287. If you would like to include a nameplate in your yearbook, orders must be placed by December 13. Questions? Please contact High School Yearbook Advisor Mr. Kok. |
December 13 | Diploma and Graduation Program Name Confirmation DUE |
An email will be sent in late September to confirm your student’s name as it will appear on their Eastside Catholic diploma and in the graduation program. Families entered this information in the 2024-25 Online School Packet (OSP). Please note: No middle names are allowed in the graduation program. If you did not receive the email or need to change your student’s name, please email Graduation Coordinator Karin House. All changes must be submitted by Friday, December 13. After December 13, if no changes are submitted, we will use your student's name as it appears in the Online School Packet. |

January 31 | Senior Ads for Yearbook DUE - late fees apply |

April 1 | Final College Discussions and Decisions |
By April 1, all seniors will have received their college decisions. We encourage students to discuss these academic opportunities and financial commitments with their families before making a final decision. With the May 1 decision deadline approaching, this period can be busy, often involving final campus visits. Our college counselors are happy to help seniors navigate their options during this important time. |

Senior Class Formal Group Portrait |
During Mentor, all seniors will gather in the Courtyard for a formal class photo. Professional dress is required for students. Many students will be seated, so if wearing a skirt, the skirt must reach the knee or below. Please do not wear athletic clothing or denim, including denim jackets. After the photo, seniors will break into smaller groups based on the city they live in for photos that will be sent to local newspapers with the Eastside Catholic graduation announcement. Seniors will receive a print copy and digital access to the formal group photo. |

Performance Auditions for Senior Tribute and Graduation After School Choir Room |
Do you have a talent or gift (musical, dance, poem) you would like to share at these events? All seniors are welcome to audition and do not need to be in choir, band or drama to participate. Open auditions will be held after school in the Choir Room. Soloists, duets, trios, etc., are invited to audition! If you have any questions, please contact Band Director Mr. Boysen, Choir Director Ms. Lizama or Senior Class Advisor Dr. Pfeiffer. |
April 30 | Senior Shout-outs for EC Social Media Due |
Seniors - join the fun and celebrate your upcoming graduation with a personal senior shout-out that will be shared on EC's social media channels! Seniors should complete the Senior Shout-Out form and opt in or opt out by April 30. Please note: Only students should complete the form. |
April 30 | FINAL DEADLINE: High School Yearbook Orders DUE |

May 1 | College Enrollment Deposit Due |

May 1 | Senior Swag Day |
Seniors will gather for a group photo and are invited to wear a sweatshirt, t-shirt or other apparel highlighting their post-high school plans. |
May 16 | College Decisions DUE in Scoir |
Seniors must update their college decisions in their Scoir account by Friday, May 16. Please indicate the college you will enroll in and all your decisions from the colleges you applied to. College counselors need this information to send final transcripts and maintain accurate records. Pick Up Pre-Ordered Graduation Items Outside Student Services |
National Achiever will be on campus to deliver all pre-ordered graduation items (cap, gown, announcements, etc.). Seniors can pick up these pre-ordered items during high school lunches outside Student Services. After this date, all pre-ordered graduation items can be picked up from the Attendance Office. Please note: Any honor or club cords earned will be distributed to seniors at the graduation rehearsal in June. |
May 29 | Senior Wall Signing | A senior tradition, seniors can sign their name on the Crusader wall. Stop by the third-floor E-wing stairwell landing during both high school lunches to leave your signature mark! |
May 30 |
Senior Tribute 11 a.m. Athletic Pavilion
Cap and Gown Photos 9 a.m. Mat Room |
Senior Tribute is scheduled for Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m., in the Athletic Pavilion. This event is for seniors and their families only. Younger siblings are welcome to attend. Parents and guardians must communicate the EC sibling's absence through the Attendance Office. Seniors will not attend classes on this day and are dismissed to leave campus after the event. Professional dress is required for students. A small reception hosted by the junior class and PFSA will be held after the event. Seniors must take cap and gown photos at 9 a.m. in the Mat Room. The school will provide cap and gown units for these photos; no need to bring your own. Please be on time for these photos so Senior Tribute is not delayed. These photos will be available for purchase from Lifetouch after the graduation ceremony. |
June 4 - 5 | Final Exams for Seniors | Senior finals will take place in class on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5. Seniors are expected to attend all classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, even if they do not have exams. This week will be a regular bell schedule for all students. |
June 6 |
Graduation Rehearsal 9:30 a.m. Athletic Pavilion |
Graduation rehearsal is on Friday, June 6, in the Athletic Pavilion. This rehearsal begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. Rehearsal attendance is REQUIRED for seniors to participate in the graduation ceremony. CORDS: Any honor and/or club cords earned and paid for will be distributed at this rehearsal. Seniors will be dismissed for the day once the rehearsal is finished. |

Baccalaureate Mass 7 p.m. Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Sammamish |
Baccalaureate Mass is on Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m., at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sammamish. Seniors must arrive by 6:45 p.m. Students are required to wear professional dress. Seniors will also wear their graduation gown, stole, and any earned honor or club cords—please note that graduation caps are not to be worn. We recommend pressing your gowns with a cool iron to ensure they look their best. All family members are welcome to attend, and tickets are not required. Please plan ahead for traffic and parking. Following the Mass, the sophomore class and PFSA will host a small reception. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be livestreamed for family and guests. |

Class of 2025 Graduation 7:30 p.m. Benaroya Hall, Seattle |
The Class of 2025 graduation ceremony is Monday, June 9, at 7:30 p.m., at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Seniors must arrive no later than 6:45 p.m. and should proceed to the main lobby of Benaroya Hall. Professional dress is required for students. Seniors should also wear their graduation gown (zipped up), cap, tassel (on the right-hand side of the cap), stole and any earned honor and club cords. Please note that the aisle to the stage is relatively steep, and low-heeled shoes are strongly encouraged. Due to strict Benaroya Hall rules, students CANNOT decorate graduation caps. Any decorated caps will be removed and returned after the ceremony concludes. There are no capacity limitations at Benaroya Hall. Students can bring as many family members, friends and guests as they wish and tickets are not required. Parking is available in the Benaroya Hall garage and many nearby lots. Benaroya Hall is ADA-compliant and has plenty of seats throughout the auditorium. The ushers will check the lobby for wheelchair users and others who need assistance before opening the doors to the public. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for everyone. Please note the lobby is very congested before and after the ceremony. Before the start of the ceremony, we recommend communicating a place to meet with your senior and your family members after the ceremony concludes. A seating chart will be available beforehand to see where your student will sit on stage. Benaroya Hall prohibits confetti, helium balloons and air horns in the auditorium. Seniors, please note that the following items are NOT allowed on stage during the ceremony (including, but not limited to): sunglasses, earbuds, gum, water bottles or noisemakers. Phones must be completely turned off and remain in your pocket (phones cannot be held) for the entire graduation ceremony. Please note: Food is not allowed inside Benaroya Hall, including the auditorium and lobby area. We kindly ask that all family members and guests remain seated during the graduation ceremony. A Lifetouch photographer will take photos of each graduate as they walk across the stage and receive their diploma. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated to ensure a smooth and memorable event for everyone. After the ceremony, families can obtain the graduation ceremony photos directly from Lifetouch. |

Grad Night 2025 |
Grad Night 2025 is a senior class parent-sponsored event that begins immediately following the graduation ceremony. It is is an all-night, chaperoned event with dinner, breakfast, games, music, prizes and plenty of entertainment! Seniors will depart directly from Benaroya Hall. Buses board at Benaroya Hall and will return to the EC campus on Tuesday, June 10, at 6 a.m. Please note: Seniors should arrange for someone to pick them up from Eastside Catholic on June 10, so they are not driving after staying up all night. All participating seniors must complete the Emergency Care Plan and 2025 Senior Release forms before the event. Seniors should also bring their overnight bags, clearly labeled with their names and the clothes they intend to wear for the event. EC staff members will collect bags in the Benaroya Hall lobby before the graduation ceremony. After the ceremony, seniors will return this overnight bag to a family member before the bus departs. The destination is a surprise, but we recommend comfortable clothing, a sweatshirt and closed-toe shoes. Grad Night scholarships are available so that every student can attend! Final Transcripts Submitted |
Final transcripts are automatically submitted through Scoir to the college indicated as "enrolling" on each senior's Scoir profile on June 25. Please note: A final transcript will not be sent if a senior does not identify their "enrolling" college in Scoir by Friday, June 20. |
