Congratulations to Senior Hadley Hagwell, who was awarded the Sammamish Rotary Student of the Month award for October! Campus Minister Paulina Thurmann nominated Hadley for recognition and said the below:
"Eastside Catholic is proud to nominate Hadley Hagwell for Rotary Student of the Month. One of EC’s touchstones is Servant Leadership, and Hadley is one of our best examples of what Servant Leadership looks like. She is a leader in service at EC, serving each year as a leader on our Freshman Overnight retreat, and helping extensively with our fundraising auction. In Community Service class, she was actively sought after by teachers in our placement schools—her former teachers all wanted her to volunteer in their rooms. But even more significant is her service to the community. She is one of our Forefront student leaders, serving in this peer-to-peer program addressing suicide prevention and fostering mental health. And she is an Athletes for Kids mentor, accompanying her special needs buddy every week for the last few years."
