The Eastside Catholic Choir, Band and Orchestra had a strong showing at the High School Regional Solo and Ensemble Music Contest held at Redmond High School on February 8-9.

Students performed a solo or as part of an ensemble at the regional contest. They were given a rating of "I" (Superior - best), "II" (Excellent), "III" (Good), "IV" (Fair), "V" (Poor) based on their performance. They also received a short clinic with the judge to help them improve on their instrument. Students must earn a Superior to be considered for the State Solo and Ensemble Championship. Only one individual/group winner plus two alternates in each category are selected to move on to the state championship contest.
