Algebra Prep Summer Camp (Grades 7-9), 2 Week Course

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Items Needed: Access to Microsoft Teams, a stylus, paper and a pencil

This camp will utilize Microsoft Teams or Zoom so students will be able to follow the instructor as a whole group and also work in small groups. Strengthen your pre-algebra and linear algebra skills to prepare for middle school non-linear algebra or high school algebra. This course will provide a brief review of the concepts of ratio, rate and proportion and will review operations with integers and order of operations. We will focus on linear algebra skills where you will learn to translate information among tables, graphs and equations. You will learn how to combine like terms, solve inequalities, draw a best ﬁt line on a scatter plot and ﬁnd an equation for that line.
