Brian Baldwin, a Washington State University alumnus, embarked on a distinguished 42-year career in banking, primarily at Rainier Bank and Key Bank. Currently, he serves as the controller's assistant at Top Shelf Cranes.

Brian has a passion for coaching, having volunteered as a coach for the Interlake High School golf team for three years. He also served as the head men's and women's golf coach at Green River College for two and a half years, dedicating himself to developing young golfers.

An accomplished golfer with a 0.5 handicap, Brian is a proud member of Meridian Valley Country Club. He is the defending senior club champion and has held the titles of overall club champion and senior club champion in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Brian has competed in multiple Washington State Open Golf tournaments, finishing in the top 30 most recently. He was also invited to the PGA National Club Champions Championships in 2021 (Palm Springs, California) and 2023 (Scottsdale, Arizona), finishing 11th and 21st overall, respectively.

Brian’s dedication to golf is evident in his dedication to teaching and enhancing the student-athlete experience and he looks forward to leading the program toward continued success.

Coach Samantha Dzingle joined the EC golf staff in 2023 as assistant golf coach. She has been playing golf since she was old enough to hold a club, went to State from 2014 to 2016, worked at The Golf Club at Newcastle for six years, including two summers with the Nike Junior Golf Camps.

In addition to coaching golf, Samantha joined the EC Student Services Department as a college counselor in 2023. She earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Gonzaga University, where she discovered her love for education. After her studies concluded at Gonzaga University, she served with AmeriCorps for a year. After completing her year of service, she transitioned to work in college admissions. Samantha is passionate about helping students find their path to future success. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, cooking, listening to podcasts and spending time with her family.

Coach Max Nealon ’17 played baseball and football all four years of high school at EC. His teams earned two State championships in football and two League championships in baseball. He earned Second Team All-Metro third baseman as a junior and Honorable Mention as a senior. Max graduated from Pacific University with a degree in education while playing five years of D3 baseball, earning two conference championships and qualifying for regional tournaments twice. After college, he played professional independent baseball in the Mavericks League for the Campesinos De Salem-Keizer for one season. Currently, Max is a full-time substitute teacher at Eastside Catholic School.
