Orchestra
Stringing together skill and sound.
Orchestra is an opportunity to study advanced small group ensemble and orchestral music. It is open to any student who plays a stringed instrument.
Orchestra offers students great variety and challenge in musical performance. Students study advanced instrumental technique, music reading and comprehension skills, independent musicianship, style and critical thinking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of small group ensemble music and orchestral music.
Students perform both in small group ensemble projects and as a larger group. Orchestra performs at local festivals and competitions and programs contain both classical and popular music.

On May 9-11, middle school band and choir students traveled to Idaho to perform in the Music in the Parks Silverwood Festival.
The Eastside Catholic Choir, Band and Orchestra had a strong showing at the High School Regional Solo and Ensemble Music Contest held at Redmond High School on February 8-9.

Eastside Catholic’s marching band made history at the Bands of America Northwest Regional competition in Moscow, Idaho, on October 11-12, bringing home an array of awards and recognition.

Congratulations to our band students selected for the Western International Band Clinic Honor bands!
Seventh and eighth grade band and choir students traveled to Idaho to perform at the Music in the Parks Silverwood festival on May 6-8 to compete against seven other schools from Washington, Idaho and Montana.
On April 29 and 30, several band students competed at the State Solo and Ensemble competition in Ellensburg, Washington.
Congratulations to the following students selected to the 2022 Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) Junior All-State Band, WMEA All-State Band, the Western International Band Clinic (WIBC) Honor Band, WMEA Junior All-State Choir and WMEA All-State Choir.
Director of Bands Jonathan Boysen was featured by the Snoqualmie Valley Record in honor of his recognition as a quarterfinalist in the GRAMMY Museum's Music Educator Award.
