Orchestra

Orchestra at Eastside Catholic School is open to both middle school and high school students who play a stringed instrument and want to deepen their musical skills. This program offers rich, advanced small-ensemble and full-orchestral experiences that challenge students and broaden their musicianship.

Orchestra offers students great variety and challenge in musical performance. Students study advanced instrumental technique, music reading and comprehension skills, independent musicianship, style and critical thinking skills and gain a deeper understanding of small group ensemble music and orchestral music.

Orchestra students perform in both small group ensemble projects and as a larger group, showcasing classical and popular music. The ensemble participates in local festivals and competitions, giving students meaningful opportunities to grow as musicians and performers.
