Band
EC offers Band for both middle school and high school students. Middle school students are taught fundamentals and start to learn advanced techniques through their course of study. Middle School Band participates in several Northwest competitions and performs at local events. Guest artists are brought in to enhance the band experience.
The High School Band program continues the development of skills and aesthetic experiences for wind and percussion students at EC. This is accomplished through several ensembles. Specific musical skills include scale studies, tone production, intonation, expressive techniques, sight reading and other skills.
Wind Ensemble
The Wind Ensemble is the top band at EC. Students explore and perform a higher level of interesting and challenging band music. The Wind Ensemble also doubles as the Crusaders Marching Band in the fall, enjoying camaraderie while learning marching band skills.
The Wind Ensemble performs at concerts, athletic events and community events. They also travel to various festivals and competitions around North America each year.
Jazz Ensemble
Jazz Ensemble is an auditioned group that explores and performs advanced jazz band music. Jazz Ensemble performs at concerts, jazz festivals and community events.
