Six Students Selected for Western International Band Clinic

Six band students were selected to attend the Western International Band Clinic (WIBC) as part of the honor band. This years clinic will take place in Seattle, November 22-25. Congratulations to the following students: Liv Curtis (oboe), Jericho DeJesus (percussion), Paul Nguyen (percussion), Emma Robinson (flute), Alex Sheeks (euphonium) and Nick Wandling (bass clarinet).

Congratulations as well to the following three students who were selected as alternates: Kai Alexander (alto sax), Chase Kirby (bassoon) and Jackson Smith (tuba).

Over 1,600 high school students auditioned from over 10 states and several countries to be a part of the four WIBC honor bands.  Students will spend four days in November working with several world class conductors, including Robert W. Smith, Ray Cramer, Dr. Lowell Graham, Dr. Rebecca Phillips, Dr. Tim Lautzenhieser and the Boston Brass.
