We are proud to announce the Class of 2019 valedictorians and salutatorians.
“We congratulate the valedictorians and salutatorians representing the Class of 2019,” High School Principal Barbara Swann said. “They have excelled in all disciplines of their academics during their four years at Eastside Catholic, while taking a minimum of twelve AP courses. They embody the Touchstones of Eastside Catholic: academic excellence, leadership and relationships at school and in the community. The EC family wishes these outstanding young adults much success and happiness in their future.”

Valedictorian Isabel Scott and salutatorian Michael Sentman also offered some advice to younger students.
“Time management is extremely important,” Isabel said. “My saving grace these past four years has been getting school work done ahead of time and not letting it build up!”
“Establish a work ethic as early on as possible,” Michael said. “If you can find something that motivates you to do unpleasant but necessary things, you’re going to go a lot further than if you don’t.”
President Gil Picciotto commented, “We are proud of these students as they have worked diligently toward their goals and who have already been accepted to their colleges of choice, including Princeton, Harvard, Claremont McKenna and Pacific University. We will be watching and cheering these students on as they begin their individual journeys. They represent a broad range of interests and have indicated a desire to study aerospace engineering, political science, journalism and genetics, just to name a few. EC seeks to nurture each student’s unique abilities and these students are the epitome of that mission.”
The Class of 2019 Graduation Ceremony will be held at Benaroya Hall in Seattle on Monday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. Baccalaureate will be held Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sammamish.
