Girls Volleyball Hosts Eighth Annual No One Fights Alone (NOFA) Event

The girls volleyball teams host Seattle Prep High School teams in our eighth annual cancer awareness No One Fights Alone (NOFA) match on Thursday, September 26 in the Athletic Pavilion. Junior varsity and junior varsity-c teams play at 5:30 p.m.; the varsity match is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The NOFA event was first organized by the 2012-13 volleyball team and the EC Athletic Department to honor Eastside Catholic’s former volleyball coach, Angie McKinnell, who was battling cancer for the fourth time. The year after our inaugural NOFA game, one of the EC volleyball players was diagnosed with cancer, bringing additional meaning to the event. To honor all those affected by cancer, the team and Crusader fans wear shirts specifying a loved one’s cancer diagnosis during the game.
