Senior Asa Thompson Commits to Washington at EC Signing Day

Eastside Catholic School celebrated senior Asa Thompson, who signed his commitment on February 4, 2026, to begin his collegiate football career at the University of Washington, where he will join the Huskies as a safety.

A four-year varsity letterman, Thompson added exceptional versatility to Eastside Catholic football, contributing at both wide receiver and defensive back. During his senior season, Thompson earned first-team All-Metro League honors on both sides of the ball, helping lead the Crusaders to a 10–2 record and a 3A State semifinal appearance. A multi-time first-team All-Metro selection at wide receiver, Thompson played a key role in Eastside Catholic’s sustained success, including multiple semifinal appearances and a trip to the 3A state championship game during his freshman season.

“I’m incredibly proud of Asa and this opportunity to continue his career at the University of Washington,” Feller said. “In my first year at Eastside Catholic, one of the highlights has been watching him compete and getting to know the young man behind the jersey. He brings toughness, consistency and confidence every day. The Huskies are getting someone special, and I can’t wait to watch what’s next for him.”

Thompson's signing reflects not only his individual achievement, but also the strength of Eastside Catholic’s football program and its culture of development. His impact on the Crusaders’ continued excellence underscores the program's commitment to hard work, teamwork, and competing at the highest level—both on and off the field.
