Eastside Catholic School Named to Advanced Placement School Honor Roll

We are excited to share that Eastside Catholic has been recognized by the College Board on the 2024-25 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning a Platinum distinction, the highest level awarded. The school has also been honored with the 2025 AP Access Award, which honors institutions that ensure equitable access to AP courses for students of all backgrounds.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening participation. Schools can earn this recognition based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing students with opportunities to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

High School Principal, Soonja Larsen expressed her appreciation, stating, “We are extremely proud of our students for challenging themselves and working toward mastery in their AP courses. The time, sacrifice and rigor our students show when they take on the challenge of taking one or more Advanced Placement courses is commendable. We also want to recognize our teachers who provide an enriching curriculum and unwavering support to positively impact student success.”

Director of Curriculum and Instruction Mollie Page also added, "Our teachers and their deep understanding of our students are at the heart of our academic program. They build strong relationships, provide the guidance students need to excel in rigorous coursework, and ensure that every learner, regardless of background, has access to high-quality instruction and the support they need to thrive. At the same time, our students continue to inspire us with their dedication and determination. They embrace challenges, put in the hard work and support one another every step of the way. Their success on AP exams reflects the strength of our entire community-students, teachers and families working together to help every student reach their full potential."

This recognition highlights the strength of our academic program, the dedication of our educators and our commitment to expanding opportunities for all students. We are proud of this accomplishment and look forward to building on this momentum in the years ahead.

College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) enables students to pursue college-level studies—with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both—while still in high school. Through AP courses in 40 subjects, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
