Message From our Director of Admissions Anastasia Bennett

Anastasia Bennett joined Eastside Catholic School as the Admissions Director in June 2021. Prior to EC, she worked in college academia for eight years. Anastasia earned both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in business from Southern Oregon University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, cooking, baking and cross-stitching. Read more in her bio.

I am thrilled to be a part of this caring, faith-centered, family-focused community! As the director of admissions, I consider it a great responsibility to be one of the first faces new families interact with. I am honored to serve and collaborate with prospective and current families, community members and EC’s faculty and staff.

Education is my passion and I find it gratifying to work with prospective students and families as they journey through the admissions process and provide them with the information they need to make informed decisions. For many, applying to a school can often be a daunting task. One of my favorite quotes is by Mother Teresa, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." I keep this quote in mind whenever I pick up the phone, have a video chat, send an email or meet someone in person. I try to make the admissions process a happy and loving experience.

My best advice for prospective families is to ask questions and to visit! Students and parents are encouraged to call or email anytime they need answers. Along with the rest of the Admissions Team, I want to ensure that our future EC community members have the information they need to make important decisions. It's so enjoyable to see prospective students and families experience our campus and community for the first time. Watching a future Crusader's excitement grow as they imagine walking to class with friends, eating in the Commons, going to Mass in the Chapel, participating in athletics or being involved in one of the many extracurricular activities available to them—it's priceless.

Coming from the world of college admissions, one of the biggest differences I’ve witnessed is the decision-making process. I love that for middle school through high school students, choosing a school is more of a family decision rather than just a student decision. This summer, I had the pleasure of getting to know parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters—you name it! With 6-12, it really is the whole family joining the school. It's awesome!

I’m excited to share that our application process for the 2022-23 school year opens on September 1! Registration for Crusader for a Day visits also opens September 1 and we encourage interested families to explore our website, check out the application process steps and contact us if you have any questions. I can’t wait to meet you!
