Discover ways to give back to your community through community service

There are many ways students can give back to their community through community service. Students can look for service opportunities in the following places:

• On EC Canvas > Campus Ministry > Community Service
• On the Community Service Padlet: This is a dedicated online resource that shares community service opportunities for students
• On-campus Opportunities: Shared in EC This Week, EC This Month, posted flyers around school, on the TVs and during EC3 flex times held in the Commons, where students can earn 45 minutes of service during the school day.
• At a local church, library, elementary school, local park clean-ups, animal shelters and tent city homeless shelters
• Helping out neighbors or grandparents

When students perform community service, it not only is a way to help give back to their community, but also a way to discover their unique gifts, passions and talents that God has given them to steward on behalf of others.

The EC Campus Ministry Team manages the community service opportunities and student requirements. Students can also find information on how to log their hours, hourly benchmark goals, and more, on the Campus Ministry webpage and the ECMS and ECHS Canvas pages.
