|  | Meet the High School Principal Steve SchmutzSteve Schmutz joined Eastside Catholic School as high school principal in July 2011. Prior to his role at EC, he was a teacher and vice principal of student life at Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School in Everett. His past teaching assignments include several years at Gonzaga Prep in Spokane.  Steve’s commitment to spiritual development and academic excellence is a tremendous asset to the Eastside Catholic community. Steve believes strongly in the EC mission of a Catholic education, fostering a legacy of leadership and service toward others.
Steve is a Spokane native where he attended Catholic schools throughout his educational career. He and his family are members of Holy Rosary in Edmonds. His wife, Stephanie, teaches at Saint Alphonsus Parish School in Seattle, where their two young children attend school.
